Sharing the Artwork, Preserving the Legacy
Fostering exploration, research and inspiration for students, art professionals and visitors
Mission Statement
The Benini Foundation is dedicated to preserving the artwork and legacy of Italian-born artist Benini, fostering exploration, research and inspiration for students, art professionals and visitors. With a single artist museum - one of less than 300 worldwide – the foundation achieves this by preserving Benini’s artwork, showcasing revolving exhibitions in evolutionary sequence, offering educational tours, hosting community events and providing access to the fine arts library and archives. The Benini Foundation engages with the global fine arts community to promote contemporary art, especially single artist museums.
Located just south of Marble Falls, the 6500 sq.ft. Museo Benini was purpose-built in 2014 by Benini and his wife Lorraine, along with offices, storage buildings, and studio space. Set on 35 acres of rural Texas Hill Country, the museum and sculpture trails offer a creative sanctuary to promote and share the fine arts and protect the native flora and fauna, combining art and nature in a unique setting.
The Benini Foundation aims to:
Highlight the evolution of Benini’s artistic vision and career through changing exhibitions that inspire reflection and study.
Deepen appreciation for contemporary art through educational programs and community outreach, including the Arts Encounters series saluting artists in all art forms.
Enrich the cultural landscape by providing free access to a unique art collection, and special events as well as cross-pollinating with single artist museums worldwide.
