Museo Benini, the headquarters of the Benini Foundation, and the previous cultural institutions owned by the Beninis – The Benini Galleries and Sculpture Ranch in Johnson City (2000-2014) and THEARTFOUNDATION (1988-2000) in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas have been funded totally by the sale of Benini’s artwork.

Benini and Lorraine are focused now on the future of Museo Benini. Their expressed desire is for this 6500 square foot museum they built near Marble Falls in 2015- as well as the fine art collection, the 17,000 volume research library, studios and archives – continue to serve its educational and cultural mission for the future.

With this in mind, the Benini Foundation was successfully registered with the Texas Secretary of State as a public charity foundation in August, 2024, and the 501 ©(3) status was awarded by the IRS in July, 2025..

The one mandate that Benini, as honorary chair, set before the board of directors was for the museum to always be open free of charge.
